  1. Obviously the best county is Londonderry.

And before anyone has a go and says it should be Co Derry...there never was a Co Derry, it was Co Coleraine until Derry was renamed Londonderry. Soooooooooo...there's NEVER been a Co Derry.

We have the great city of Derry, the beautiful Roe Valley Country Park, fantastic Sperrin scenery, Binevenagh etc. Great fishing, great sport from GAA to soccer and rugby.

And the rain is always warm.

  2. It's to hard to decide! Derry and it's shopping, Galway and it's farmers!, Cork and it's culties!, and Dublin and it's people, they're hilarious! I'm from Galway! Gaillimh abú!!

  3. Galway, we dont need to brag about it like the dubs and the corkonians, we know it dont even need to shout about it. Remember Cork getting european city of culture, they hammered on about it all year, considering that liverpool was the year before that i dont think it was much to shout about, kind of like being employee of the month at tescos, your a winner and a loser at the same time.

dublin may be the capital, cork might want to be the capital, like a little brother tugging at its bigger brothers heels, but Galway is and will always be irelands capital of culture.

  4. CORK!!!!!!! I moved here after living in Kerry, Kilkenny and Waterford, and visiting Dublin a good few times. I firmly believe Cork is the best.

  5. I must say I think Galway is the best. I was raised there but currently live in Dublin. While you say my answer is biased I have many reasons for thinking Galway. The main reason is there is a bit of everything there. Either the buzzing city which was a great night life or the quite, beautiful peaceful countryside found it the west. You can experience native Irish speakers as well as the diversity of language now in Ireland. There a modern living with a strong scenes of olden day Ireland. Pretty much the same  shops will find in larger cities and yet they stand side by side with the family run business which have been around for centuries. You have sea, mountains, hills, lakes and acres and acres of green fields just miles from the large urban area of galway city.  I could go on forever but I think you have got my point!

  6. In my opinion it's Dublin as its the capital city and its where Im from! It's got all the theatres/shops/pubs/clubs and prob the most appeal to tourists due to the museums and cultural side of things. It does also have its bad points though like rough town areas but its rare to find somewhere that doesn't these days. I was actually born in the heart of the north city centre and I loved the fact that everything was on my doorstep! However as I grew up and started my own family I found it was better to live somewhere not so close to all the hustle and bustle and over populated areas so I moved to somewhere quieter but still in Dublin so I still have the benefits of the shopping and social life round town and the quite family time. Dublin really does have some beautiful areas and wonderful scenary if you drive a few miles from the centre but likewise there are nice things to see in the heart of Dublin too like Christchurch and there's also a pub on almost every corner!! :)

  7. I live in Dublin, so I'm going to say there, but I'm also very fond of Galway. Lots of stuff going on in both all the time.

  8. At the moment I live in County Limerick, and I like it. I don't think there is a 'best' county, to be honest.

  9. I lived in Limerick for a few years. My parents still live there,so I go there quite a bit.
