is there a way to protect your irish dancing dress from sweat marks

I use dress shields for staining but if your dress smells sweaty and you are trying to sell it or something, try putting baking powder in an old pair of nylons/stockings and then tie it up (so that it's like a ball) and put those in the armpits of the dress when you are storing it in between feisianna. It sounds wierd but baking powder absorbs odors. Hope this helps. :)
