Irish dancing poodle socks

I'm an irish dancer, and I want to buy poodle socks, but the thing is I dont know what length to get. Theres championship length and knee length. How far up your leg does championship length go?

I think it's about mid calf, but I'm not sure. Championship length is probably the best length if you compete though.
