  4. I live in cork, Fermoy means TRAFFIC but their gettin a bypass so it should get better. Cork is brilliant----fermoy's a nice town.

  10. I lived there before I had to go North and am still homesick.

    That part of Cork is one of the loveliest and actually least touristy places in Ireland and the people are THE best ever, and I've been in lots of places all over Europe.

    Fermoy is a nice little town, the only drawback is the traffic from the main road Cork - Dublin, and you are in Cork City within half an hour.

    There are lots of interesting places to see in the vicinity, the locals will tell you where to go, I'm too lazy to even start listing them (mainly because I forgot how to spell them ;-) )

  11. Fermoy is a grand town as small Irish towns go. It has a beautiful river flowing through the town and does 'suffer' from having the main Cork-Dublin road running through the town. It's about 20 miles from Cork which must be the most fascinating city in Europe. Enjoy your stay in Fermoyand get to know the hinterland and its people. Treat the locals with kindness and respect and they will treat you likewise
