Irish name Kevin O’ Brien to lead in Hong Kong sixes – Cricket News Update
Ireland has named their squad for the upcoming Hong Kong Sixes, with explosive batsman Kevin O’ Brien leading the team, which includes a host of their World Cup performers.
The only uncapped player in the team is Max Sorenson, while the rest of the squad contains familiar figures in opener Paul Stirling and wicket-keeper, Niall O’ Brien.
The tournament, which kicks-off on the 28th of next month, will be the first ever for the Irish contingent, which will be hoping to perform well. Their West Indian coach, Phil Simmons, is confident of the qualities of the team, especially new
comer, Sorensen, who he feels is a perfect fit for this tournament.
