  1. You can either have an Irish passport or a United Kingdom passport.

My dad is from Antrim but has held an Irish passport all his life. Cursed be the day when he holds a UK one.

  2. You can apply for either because of the situation in Ireland. People in the north can apply for irish passports. I have a british passport but i can apply for an irish one when my current one expires

  3. Passport is stamped 'Great Britan and Northern Ireland' but the inner page states 'British' - that's the offical one.

You can legally carry both - GB for going to England, and Irish for the rest of the world.

(And yes, I use England - Not United Kingdom)

  7. People who were born in Northern Ireland are entitled to apply for either a British passport or an Irish passport, if you have a British passport, the nationality will be British.  A passport issued by the Republic of Ireland will state the nationality as Irish.  It not unknown for people from Northern Ireland to have both passports

  9. I was born in England but living in Ireland for many years. I have an Irish passport but  Great Britrain is also included on it cos I was born there.
