Irish registration fees for college??

Im not too sure if I have to pay for these or not. I got accepted to maynooth to do an arts degree. The registration fees for this year alone are €972. My dad is being made redundant at the moment and will be out of work very soon. A friend told him that because he is being made redundant he will not have to pay these. Please help!!

Unless you have a grant you will have to pay.

It doesnt matter if he is being made redundant this year because they only consider last years earnings.
