Okay, about 5 years ago, Irish teams would have lost the matches 5-0, 6-0, etc.

  1. I"m really not sure on this one.

  2. Unfortunately most of the best Irish players dont play in Ireland, perhaps the prem has missed a jewel, i doubt it though, its pretty good that a few Irish teams perform well in Europe, good luck to them....maybe it is time for the Isle Of Man to have a team in Europe...:)

  3. I totally agree with you on this mate, I watched the Drogs game and couldnt believe they didnt snatch it in the end and then yesterday Kyiv

beat Moscow 4-1 away..... what could have been

Great result for Pats tonight, I just hope they keep it up for the home leg and dont go into defense mode

I dont get why Roddy Collins keeps putting them down as if he expects them to progress easily through. They sure are improving though!

  4. The Premiership sucks many of our best players, if they didn't I might support an Irish team more than an english one....oh well progress is progress.

  5. I don't know much about the FAI Eircom League of Ireland.  All that I do know is when I visited Dublin in the fall of 2005 I went to Dalymount Park to see the Bohemian FC play.  I spoke with an older gentleman who told me that Ireland has been striped of it talent by the English and Scottish leagues for years.  Which has lead to lower talent and less fan support for the clubs.

I wish the FAI Eircom League of Ireland all the best.  I know that the Irish love football.  It will take some time, but it will get better.

We went through almost the same thing here in the USA.  Things are getting better...all good things take some time.
