    Sulfur is also in group 16--but is lower in the chart. It can have a positive charge if combined with something that tends to be strongly negative--such as oxygen. But it can be negative is combined with something that tends to be strongly positive, such as iron.

    Bromine is in group 17 -- it tends to have a negative charge when it combines with other elements.

    So the only choice is potassium.
