Question:

Iron pills or no iron pills?

I had anemia when i was in seventh grade and started taking pills for about two years. I stopped when i was in ninth grade and now i'm going into tenth. I feel the same symptoms i felt before, tiredness, headaches, cold hands, falling hair. My mom told me to go back on the pills. Should i go back or go to the doctor first? My mom was a nurse by the way, but i always seem to doubt her opinions lol.

And if i do go back, i've heard that you have to take iron pills with certain foods so that it absorbs. I like taking it with milk, is that bad? What should i take it with?

  1. Mabye you should be going to see your doctor about this.

  2. go back on the pills

  3. yes iron pills

  4. I think it is a good idea for every woman to take some iron/ a multivitamin.  It will make you feel less tired/exhausted when you are menstruating and in addition, since you have a history of anemia, I think it is a must.  It is a good idea to take vitamins with food (after a meal) so that they get absorbed into your body better.
