Lightning will make glass, but not a sculpture like in the movie Sweet Home Alabama.  Here is a link:

You can also do a search for "fulgurite".  You can buy them on eBay.  They are usually an inch or so long, and are hollow.  They also tend to look more like sand melted together than clear glass.
