What is the most ironic statement you've ever heard?

For me it is when someone does something somewhat rude like not saying please and then someone else says "You're rude!"

Your example is not ironic. Irony is cruel humour for example if you heard that someone had suffered an accident and had a leg amputated and saying 'Well that'll make it hard for him to run for a bus now.'

I think it's ironic that Alanis Morissette's song "Ironic" doesn't have any ironic things in it.
