Question:

Irregular Bleeding and Birth Control?

Hello Everyone, I have a question to ask, I am on progesterone-only oral contraceptives (mini pill) which can cause and increase risk of ectopic pregnancy. My husband does not have s*x on regular day basic, but he did ejaculated in me twice, I was still taking the pill, but three days later we had went on vacation and I left my pills at home and next thing you know it I started bleeding, It was different from any period I had ever had, It was light and it was watery like and it was real little blood clots and plus I had just got off my period like 2 before I started bleeding. Could this be because I missed taking the pill or something much serious like a ectopic pregnancy? I'm like really freaked out, I don’t have any cramping in abdomen but I did feel some pain under my chest but I don’t know if that was from me breastfeeding. Thanks for your feedback. I am also breastfeeding

  1. You started bleeding because your pill was no longer working properly. You need to take it right for it to work right. You should take a test using your first morning urine about 3 weeks after you last had s*x.
