Irregular bleeding what could it mean?

Question

I had my son this January. Prior to getting pregnant I was on the pill for 3 years and after he was born I went back on the pill and have been on it for about 7 months. I've never had any irregular bleeding between periods, and yesterday I started cramping and bleeding. The cramping comes and goes but can get painful and the bleeding is dark but not really heavy. Is this normal? What can it mean?

That can be the effects of the Birth Control, rough intercourse, or it can be a serious sign that something is wrong.  The best thing for you to do is go see a doctor and get tests!  In the long run its better to know early rather then late.  I know it can be scary but it needs to get done.  Best Of Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
