  1. birth control is the only thing I know of but you should talk to you dr.

  2. I heard birth control pills but i never used then so im not sure

  3. birth control helps regulate your period

  4. I hate birth control.  It messed me up big time.  I would try something else.  Definitely acupuncture or vitex.  At least give these things a try. it can take 3 months for something to start working though, so if Vitx did not work right away don't give up.  I am not a big supporter of birth control.  I think we get enough pseudo hormones in our diet and everyday life and we don't need to take them in a pill form.

  5. Hi Julie, it depends on why they are irregular. With regards to alternative therapies, you could try acupuncture which I have read is very effective. There are also Bach flower remedies such as Agnus Castus/Vitex/Chasteberry, which balances out the hormones, as you irregularity may be down to that. If you have something like PCOS, there are medications such as Clomid to help induce ovulation, therefore menstruation also. The birth control pill helps but your question is in the TTC section of yahoo, so the pill may not be the answer here. Half the battle is finding out why they are irregular....
