The former Manchester United full back says United’s experience in the title run in will give them the advantage in the second half of the English Premier League season...
Dennis Irwin, the Manchester United legend and their former left back has come out and said that despite the fact that Tottenham and other teams are doing well this season in the Premier League, Manchester United stand a good chance
of repeating their title triumph as they have the experience that counts in a title run in come the end of the season.
Irwin who played for Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson’s team won 12 league titles with the Red Devils and also added a UEFA Champions League medal to his collection in 1999. Manchester United gained a vital 3-2 win over Manchester City at the
Etihad stadium earlier on in the month of January in their third round F.A Cup tie against Mancini’s men but City still lead the Premier League table by three points.
Irwin said in his interview, “There’s still an awful lot of the season to go and teams will drop points, it’s as simple as that. Tottenham have done unbelievably well to get into the position they are, but City are our main rivals.
I don't think you can argue that they have been the better team over the first half of the season.”
He added that Manchester United have gained over 20 years of experience with their title triumphs under Sir Alex Ferguson and that is what will count in their title charge towards the top of the Premier League table. The former
Manchester United full back also said that no amount of money can buy that kind of experience because the coaching staff as well as the manager at Manchester United have been in this type of a situation before and they know what to do.
Sir Alex will hope that his team can come together for the next few months and gain from their previous title charges in order to gain the elusive top place spot from Manchester City in the English Premier League.
