Normally I'd say no BUT then there are two factors:

One is that people are on here posting from everywhere, so It's not 3:00 a.m. where THEY are, obviously.  And They can help you.

But - I find at this time of the night, after the madness of the peak hours, there are a lot of people on also due to shift work, new mother's.. etc. who are up anyway, and have more time to sift through the boards and give you a decent answer!

This happened to me last night just in Security!  I finally received an answer to a specific q.  that I'd posted twice before around 8:00-9:00 E.S.T. - There is a lot of traffic then, and people may skip over or not see your question..

It will all depend on WHERE you are as to WHEN it's 3 am so it's rather hard to give a definitive answer.

Of course, ANOTHER IMPORTANT POINT is to actually ASK a meaningful question, for that way you no doubt WOULD get a lot of answers, regardless of time of posting ! -

That depends where you are.

To get a lot of answers you generally need to get either American or Australian answers.

In the UK, if I asked at 3am, I would stand a good chance.
