Is $1,500 for a paint job in a 1,000 square foot house too much? ?

My dad hired two painters to paint our townhouse which is around 1,020 square feet. They are just painting the interior with three bedrooms, 2.5 baths plus the kitchen and living room. Some of the rooms will be painted different colors.

Pricing depends on locations and it fluncuates as you go. But it does not seem out of the ordinary. Your changing colors, which cost more. Depending upon condition of the home, brand of paint, their warranty. It all sounds reasonable. But here in midwest your looking at $250 room easy, get around california your looking at $700.00 room. And those prices are 1 coat, 1 color.  Also take in consideration of the existing color that they are covering?  if its a red, they will have a hard time getting it to cover, same as with a darker color going lighter. I'm sure this all includes caulking, prepping as well. And the time and insurance to move your furniture and protect it. A warranty of about 5 years is typical
