Is 1.3 megapixel or 3.0 megapixel better for a camera?

3.0 will offer you a better quality picture with better clarity. Higher the megapixel the better the image. So a 10 megapixel camera would offer amazing quality compared to a 1.3 for example.

Just don't try to make hard copies more than like 2"x3". As a webcam, it won't matter.

Here is the bottom line. The higher the mega pixel, the better the picture quality. 1.3 and 3.0 megapixel are pretty low though, sorry to say. There are camcorder/carmera/ webcam's that are 10 megapixel. If you want really good quality picture i would guy higher than 1.3 or 3.0 megapixel. My mom has camera that has 10 megapixel and it has beatiful picture quality! But to answer your question 3.0 megapixel would be better than 1.3 megapixel
