Question:

Is 1.5MB faster than 256K?

My local cable company is offering the 256K for less than I am now paying the phone company for the 1.5. Personally I think the 1.5 is faster but I have no idea why. Am I correct and can you explain why on very basic terms to help me understand this?.

    1.5 MB should be 6 times as fast.
