I have an interview for a job - deputy editor of a magazine that pays 10,000 a month - is this a good wage for the job? Is it livable on to a good standard? There is no housing allowance, only medical insurance.

Many thanks.

  1. I would say depends on the magazine. Nearly most people that live their have their housing paid for them. What magazine may I ask? Also where are you from?

  2. Dear Friend,

It is a good wage comparing to many others here in Dubai.

People here getting a minimum of AED 800 per month and living happily in their style.

Accommodation cost will be high here and if you go for a 1BHK/Studio, it will be AED 60K-AED 120K per annum.

Or you may able to get sharing accommodations, if you like so. it will be starting from AED 1500 per month. Rest in your hand and purely depends on your spending style.

    Best of Luck

    Thx
