  1. Not always it depends on the concentration of the substance.

  2. yes 1ml=1g, 50ml=50g and so on...

  3. It depends on the substance density. If the density is 1 g/mL, then yes. If not, then no.

If you mean water, then the answer is yes, but only at 4°C, where the density of water is 1 kg/L ≡ 1 g/mL.

  4. Only if it's pure water, and by 'quantity' you mean mass.

  5. only for water...that's how the gram was 'invented' 1 gram of water takes up 1 ml (which is the same as 1 cubic cm). And that varies with temperature...those numbers I gave you were for 4 degrees celsius. In order to do the conversion from grams to mls, you need to know the specific gravity of the substance....such as 1.5g/ml

that will tell you that every ml you have weighs 1.5 grams. Hope this helps.

    Cheers,

  6. No, its not.

g are to measure weight and ml are to measure liiquids.

  7. Only if the substance being compared has the same specific gravity as water.  Water is the substance used to create the volume labels in the metric system.  Other substances have a different specific gravity, so their mass is different by volume than that of water.

  8. Yes it is!

  9. It depends on the chemical.. with water is it

It all depends on the density of the chemical.

Unless its density is 1 kg/liter, then nope

  10. they are not the same type of measurement but are in corelation to eachother

100ml of water at 3. something degrees C is the equivilent to 100 grams of the same thing. 3. something degrees C sounds such a random number to chose but it is the point when water is its most dense.  it also seems like you could use any water to get the same result but if you used water vapor it wouldn't wegh as much

and if you use other substances it would be very different than 1kg/l
