with seattle being one of the most expensive cities to live in 100K will make you around middle class but able to live and have a very comfortable life-style

as for the best place to live that all depends on what you are looking for...

if you want to be close to the downtown, I would go with Alki, Wallingford, Ballard and/or upper West Seattle. 2bd apt can run you from $1200-2000 mo. for top line

further out of Seattle but keeping with style and safety, go with lower Des Monies, Normandy Park, Richmond Beach, Lake City. prices can go form $1000-2500mo.
