  1. Yes and no. At the moment it is the highest consumer ready resolution. However there are several companies that are working on on 2160p and 4320p. Several companies are currently trying to get a new "Super Hi-Vision" standard set for consumer use by 2015.

  2. many high end computer screens actually can go higher.  1080p means 1920  lines by 1080 lines on a screen and p means progressive meaning the images are "painted" on as a whole, not broken up into even and odd lines like in interlaced (i).  some monitors are capable of 2560 lines by 1600 lines.  i am not sure if they are i or p but they do beat 1080 lines by a lot.  1080p, however, is the highest that is used by media thats around today like blu-ray.  higher resolutions are usually used byy computers.  some computer games are capable of these super high resoltions.  there are a few triple HD screens out there (found one on web before but now i cant find it) and there are even quad HD screens (not for sale yet).

  3. 1080p running at 120hz

  4. no i think 1920p is better most cable an sat have 1080i hd so 1080p is pretty good
