  1. i`m 12 and got them last year I love my Acuvue 2s

  2. Too young at 12? Tell her my daughter had contacts at the age of 4weeks old. Thats not a typo I'll say it again 4WEEKS old! She was born with an inherited condition, had one op at a week old, the second op at three weeks old and contacts at 4 weeks old. I had to learn how to put them in and take them out etc but I did it. I knew it was best for her.

YOU ARE NEVER TOO YOUNG FOR CONTACTS!! And I get so bloody annoyed with people who say "your too young for them"

If you feel you can handle them, and you feel ready then she should take you and let you give it a go. In all fairness theres not much difference between 11 and 12.

Contacts are actually BETTER than glasses. If your wearing glasses and move your eyes to the side, you are not looking out of the glasses you are looking around them, and cant see too well. But if you have contacts, they move with your eye giving you 100% coverage, you only get around 40% eye coverage with glasses.

My daughter is now 11 and is currently in glasses, but shes thinking about going back to contacts. The moment she tells me she's ready, I'll take her for them.

They are YOUR eyes and at 11 I think you are more than ready.

    Good luck my friend

  3. im 16 amd my momz and dad thinks im too young for contacts

  4. right now i'm 13, and i got my contacts like 2 weeks ago, and I got them even before glasses, cause I just got my glasses 2 days ago.  You are never too young for contacts, my brother got contacts hen he was like 8 or 9.  Tell your mom that you are less likely to ruin them then your glasses, because with glassses you have to make sure they dont fall off or anything, and be extra carefully to not get them smashed, or to not bend them.

  5. Oh my, I can TOTALLY answer this. No joke, I'm twelve and I just got contacts on April 30th. I didn't even start out with glasses at all! We just went to the eye doctor, he said he had extra time, I tried on contacts, and now I have them. They are so amazing, and I haven't even had any experience. Remind your mom that you are responsible enough for glasses, so you should be responsible with contacts too. And contacts are for people of all ages, my brother started on them very young also. I hope this helps, and I hope she lets you get contacts, they are wonderful.

  6. I think that 13 would be a better age to begin using contacts.  However, if you are willing and able to be responsible enough, then you might be ready.

  7. I think you should wait till high school. Thats when my parents let me get them. I was able to prove I could do that work, so they let me get contacts.
