higher than those handicaps under 11, yes...you are doing a good job if you are 11, averaging in the low to mid 80's...I used to be there.

Depending on what stats you look at, around 18-20 is average.  So, you're doing just fine. Club champions are usually about scratch.  Your top state level amateurs are about 1-3 strokes better than scratch.  Mini-tour players are about 3-4 strokes better than scratch.  Tour players are about 5-8 strokes better than scratch.  So there are literally thousands upon thousands of golfers jealous of you and thousands upon thousands that would destroy you.

Depending on how long and how much you play 11 is a respectable handicap.  I disagree with the other statement about it being average.  I have been playing since I was a little child, and my handicap is just a few strokes lower.  One thing I can tell you is this, if your handicap is this low now ,and you have the time to devote to the game you can make it much lower.  Good golfing

it's average i play 4 times a week i can because i have the time, luckily and my handicap is 5 so that means i usually shoot 77-79on a good day but i've been playing for 42 years now you r young thats good 11

I would say its better than average, it means you are shooting in the low 80s regularly.  I read somewhere that 90% of golfers never break 90, (which is hard to believe).

My grandfather played off 1 at the age of 60, which was a club record (the club was founded in 1880).  I play off 12, and I consider myself better than average.

If you are under 20 handicap than you are in the top 15 % of all golfers . . . .whoever said 8-11 was average is incorrect.

Only 1 out of 6 golfers shoot under 100 so an 11 is a great handicap
