  1. Yes, you should be able to capture a lot of detail with twelve megapixels. That's a good amount of megapixels to have. However, don't let it fool you, you aren't going to get professional results with a twelve megapixel camera, unless it's a professional camera, which would be at least 450$, with everything. Now-a-day, megapixels are getting a little over-rated, it's not really megapixels which make the image, but the camera

    For example the nikon d1, a dinosaur in the camera world only had 2 megapixels ( the d1 was a PRO. 1,200$ camera)

    Despite it's low megapixels, it  could still out shine any 12 megapixel little camera.

    Don't be fooled by megapixels,
