I just got a Samsung LN46A650 HDTV. It has 120 Hz Auto Motion Plus technology which is supposed to cut down some jaggies that occur with fast camera pans or anything else going across the screen fast. My question is if I should turn the 120 Hz off for watching movies though because it makes normal motion such as walking look like it is a bit sped up. Is this normal?? Also I watched a soccer game in HD and has the 120 Hz set to Off, then Med. then High and could not tell a significant difference. And YES I updated the latest firmware from Samsung.com

  1. You should be able to leave the 120Hz refresh rate on all of the time.  The 120Hz refreshes the picture 120 times per second instead of the standard 60Hz.  It does not and should not add any speed.  Maybe Samsung is not using a true 120Hz refresh system, like other manufacturers.  Contact Samsung and voice your concerns.
