Hi!
I'm been an off and on again skater for a few years now (due to frequent moves). Now, I'm finally "settled" and I really want to start skating again.
I didn't skate for about a year, but after 6 months I'm at freestyle one. And I'm currently working on my scratch spin.
Unfortuneatly, I haven't ever been anywhere long enough to get this far so is there anything I should be aware of?
Like, I'm taking 30 minute private lessons once a week, but do I need any more lessons?
Should I go to spin and jump clinics?
And what exercises would be good for me too do at home?
The sad thing is, I'm not flexible but I'm willing to put in hard work, tears, sweat, and my heart into making figure skating work for me. I really want to start competitions, but anything big like Grand Prix, and the Olympics aren't in my goals,, yet =]]
