We are buying some gifts for an underprivileged youth. He is 13 and one of the items requested is "board games." Is Crossfire a good game for that age and if not, what board game might be more appropriate?

  1. holy c**p, they still make crossfire? great game

would yatzee be considered a board game?

    sorry

    checkers/ chess 8in1 game kit

  2. crossfire reminds me of the game where you have a whole bunch of pellets and you keep reloading and shooting little token into the collection tray on either side of the board.

i wouldnt say thats inappropriate for a 13 year old - they can probably stand to loose some aggression out on a bunch of toys.

monopoly (or various fictional series like harry potter / star wars / lord of the rights) is always a good way to waste a weekend.

electronic battleship wouldn't be too bad either.  then of course, there's always the life, trouble, parcheesi combinations

  3. I would go for a different game like monopoly, yahtzee, and there is this fun game called outburst that is good for 13 and up they have that in many places... hope that helped !!!

  4. If you go and buy some more 'balls', then that game is fun.  It get's old quick.

  5. Crossfire is MEANT for 13 year olds. But there are so many better games out now. It depends on what the 13 year old is into: if they like strategy games I'd say Settlers of Catan would be a good choice. Ticket to Ride is also TONS of fun for the whole family. (TIcket to Ride link below)

  6. i dont think so that u should do it but if u are more courageous u can carry on
