I want to upgrade my sound system in a 2002 Toyota Celica but i don't want to buy an amp if i don't have to. Will 13 watts RMS be loud and clear?

  1. It'll be okay.  When you turn it up, you will of course hear some distortion.  Whether or not it is tolerable to you is your call to make.

  2. you dont really need an amp if your not getting a sub id just get a nice set of componet mids and highs that fit in where the stocks ones do that will improve the sound alot and you wont need alot of xtra power

  3. no idea

  4. If the speakers are good and it's an honest 13rms, not some phony rating like most stereo makers use, it'll be fair. You won't get a lot of bass.

  5. 13 watts is pretty low. You can easily find a 1,000 watt amp with around 170 watts RMS for under $200. Even a cheaper amp with 70 RMS watts will sound great in a Celica. Unless it's a higher-end system, 13 RMS watts wont be good for high volume or bass.
