Is 130$ per week a good pay?

i'm working in a summer job in a local library, i have to work everyday, except Sunday, in the morning for 3 and a half hours, then in the evening for 4 hours. on saturday i only work in the evening.

the payment is monthly, but i worked it out in terms of a week, as that what people usually get paid in.

i'm getting 130$ per week, is that alright?

btw, i'm not in the US

5 days at 7 1/2 hours a day, plus one day at 4 hours = 41.5 hours per week...

If you're making $130 a week that means you are making $3.13/hour.

That sucks.  At least aroudn here.  Minimun wage is up around $6/hour

19 hours a week, 76 hours a month.  You make a about $6 an hour.  It's okay of you don't have to support yourself.

some jobs are dangerous... in your case it sounds like a clean protected envirnment better than cleaning toilets. I have done worse jobs for less pay

It would depend on what the normal wage is where you are living, and what the actual cost of living is there. $130.00 a week here would be very bad, but in other countries that may be very good. Sound like you must be on an internship or special work visa program. Good luck!

The best way to answer this question for yourself is to calculate your total amount of hours. Take that number, divide it into how much you make ($130.00). This will give you your dollars per hour. This will help you decide if you are making enough money per hour for your time.

Sometimes, if the money doesn't seem like enough, you have to weigh the benefits of the job.  Is it convenient for you to work and still go to school? Is the job stressful? Do you enjoy the job? Do you like your working conditions and Co-workers?

In the US we have a 'minimum wage' by law. I think (not sure) it is about $5.35 per hour. That is how much a person who is in school working a part-time job can expect to be paid. Sometimes part-time work pays more, if the job is in high demand.

It kind of depends on what you have to pay for, what you are comfortable getting, and how hard you work. I love my job and it's not that stressful. I get about 3 to 350 a week right now cause i'm in my first few months.

it depends what country you live in.  In the US that would be close to an acceptable amount of pay for working 6 days a week at those hours.  $255.45 a week is average for the hours you work at a rate of $6.55 standard US minimum wage rates.  But, after tax you would lose about $75. a check leaving you with $180.45.
