  1. Change the oil every 3500 miles or twice a year, and the motor will out live you.  Have fun....Take a safety course if you haven't already...

  2. No, that is not a lot of miles for a well maintained bike. Many folks sell these bike simply because they feel they have outgrown them and want something bigger.

Go talk to your friend with the newer bike and see if he is serious about selling it. Three weeks is rather long to be dragging his feet about selling a bike. Don't be surprised if the friend continues to drag his feet. If this happens, then go check out the '95 and if you like it, buy it.

If you go this route, then you have let your friend know you are serious about buying a bike, and you would have given your friend the first chance to take your hard earned money. So the friend can't come back later a say you backed out of a deal.

  3. low miles, have fun

  4. No way. You'd have to beat a Ninja like a heavy metal bass drum to hurt it at 15k miles.

  5. 14,000 miles is pretty low.

Is the bike in good condition as a whole?

    Engine sound good?

  6. This depends on the year.  However there are many may good miles left in this bike.
