  1. I don't think it's bad for you, but it could be an indicator of a medical problem or condition.  Is there any possibility of you being pregnant?  That could make you need more sleep, especially in early pregnancy.

I decided to see my doctor when I was in college after sleeping for about 18 hours straight.  I was also having problems with getting winded when walking up stairs.  It turned out that I was low on iron, and my doctor recommended an iron supplement, and that helped a lot!

I think it would be a good idea to see your doctor and have some basic levels checked, just to see if everything is OK.

Even though the person who asked this and answered this also sleeps 14 hours, I would still suggest seeing a doctor.

    Best of Luck!

  4. The need for excessive sleep and body aches suggests that you could have a viral infection, a sleep disorder, or maybe something like fibromyalgia.   Its difficult to diagnose this type of problem.  Any other usual symptoms or recent changes in your lifestyle are important for helping diagnose a problem like this. You might consider making a doc appointment, starting with a complete blood panel to see if you can figure out what is causing this.

  5. In general, you can't really sleep too much. If you're sleeping, it means your body or brain needs it. However, that unusual amount of sleep combined with those other symptoms is probably indicative of something bad, you should really see a doctor immediately. Good luck.
