  1. no its not but usually people learn around 8 but i think its ok just make the best of it hope ur the best musician :)

  2. no

  3. If you really want to learn, then you are never to old.  And 14 really isn't that old, you've still got all of high school and college to learn to play and get into bands and stuff.  Just have fun with it.

  4. your just right

  5. no not at all. i was 13 when i first started learning piano. You should feel proud that someone your age is even interested in preforming arts

  6. You're quite young in fact. Go for it!

  7. no you are not to old. ask your mom to enroll you.

  8. You are never to old to learn something new. And piano is easy!

  9. I was 11 when I learned how to read music, and I have met people who learned to read music when they were like 30, (way-older friends), I also know some people who play by ear.

  10. Too old at 14? No way.

  11. I CAN SAY THIS AUGUSTLY THAT IT IS NEVER TO OLD TO START  PLAYING MUSIC I TAKE PIANO LESSONS AND I STARTING WHEN I WAS 6 BUT I REGRET NOT STARTING AT A YOUNG AGE BECAUSE I HAD TO WORK AND WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE FUN OR WORK

  12. no, that's not old at all.

  13. Your never to old to learn how to play an instrument. My dad taught a 40 year old man how to play guitar a few years ago and now he plays with a band. As long as your willing to learn to play you can learn.

    Good Luck

  14. Hmmmmmmmmmm. It's not so much you being too old. 35 is not too old, your age doesn't really matter if you really wanna do it. The only thing is, at this age I'm assuming you're in high school, so the only reason you'd need to avoid it would be to have time to focus on your schoolwork. If that's not an issue though, go ahead and give it a shot. It's never too late to learn a new talent. Talent is talent, regardless of age.

  15. I am a music teacher in NY, since 1971.  This is a PERFECT age - you can read and write a whole lot better than when you were in elementary school, your attention span is a LOT longer, and you KNOW what you want.  Show this to your Mom - I am an expert in teaching kids your age (I taught MS and HS music since 1971, and retired this June) and am a competition judge in NY, too.  GO FOR IT!  Get the BEST teacher you can - one that has a degree in music, at least, and it helps if they are certified - licensed to teach in school - because they have had student teaching, and know better how to teach kids.  Ask you SCHOOL teacher for a recommendation.  GOOD LUCK - and make sure to thank you Mom for the support!

  16. You are never too old to learn. :]

  17. go for it!!! ur alot younger than u think..

  18. You aren't too old to learn. Just get yourself in some classes or you could get sheet music and try to learn on your own. If you know where all the notes are at this point, that would be great, but otherwise maybe get your first year of lessons and use them to learn other music (the class won't always let you learn the songs you want and it is very slow!)

  19. never to old to learn

  20. you can be too lazy, but never too old!

  21. No, you are still young enough to do anything you want in life! As long as you enjoy it, then go ahead! (Well, you can't vote, drive or drink but you get my point.)

  22. Too old to learn? No, you're never to old to learn.  But the mere fact that you asked that question makes me wonder....

    lol

  23. What are you waiting for. You are never going to get younger.

    Go for it.

Best of Luck and welcome to the great art of playing music. You have decided to start something that will be with you forever.

  24. No ! Liona Boyd the worlds greatest classical guitarist was fourteen when she started music lessons, and now she's the world most popular and best woman guitarist that I've ever heard. Go on youtube and type in her name, the spell check says that I'm spelling her name, (Liona) wrong, but I'm not, this is the way that she's spells it. I know that she was fourteen when she started because I've read her book, " In My Own Key ", which was great, you can buy this on Amazon.com. new or used. Make sure that you get a good teacher ! Good luck to you.

  25. no, when you are young you actually learn how to learn and that sticks with you so yes you can learn how to read and play music. if you never found out how to learn when you were young then you would have a load of trouble in school so you would know.

  26. of course not!

  27. No, it's easy I learned at 31.

  28. If you really want to do it...you're never too old.

  29. Never to old to learn!

  30. If you want to learn it and apply yourself then there is no time like the present.

I have an adult friend who learned to play guitar just by watching people play. If you want to, anybody can learn.
