Is 14 too young to go to the gym?

i am going for football and wrestling and i cant find anyone to do anything with outside

  1. depends on your body type.  but in general yes, freshman year of high school is when i started and all it did was hold me back from growing.


  2. Not at all.  To ensure safety though, you should a always have a spotter when lifting free weights.  Build your way up to higher weights by starting small and working your way up.  Don't just test your max lifting weights first.

  3. No? I work at the YMCA and people come in that are younger.

  4. No I seen plenty of people your age working out its a good idea for you to start right now.

  5. Nope! I go the gym to lift weights and run. In fact my sport teams incourage it.

  6. Start training on your own with the small things. For running all you need is a headset and Ipod. You could also jump rope. I know males think its a "female thing" but it helps with so many other things.

    I don't think you are two young to go to the gym. but some places won't allow it. In order to go to the gym here you have to be 18, unless there is an adult with you. Then you can be 16.

  7. 14 is not young to go to the gym infact 14 years old is old enough to go to the waitroom by urself
