Is 1440 x 900 resolution 720P?

  1. It is 900P. In fact, it's almost 1080P. Generally, to make things easier, sets that are 720 lines of resolution, or more, but not 1080 lines, are called 720P. For example, most "720P" sets are actually 768P.

    As far as aspect ratio is concerned-that really can't be definitely answered. Not all TVs have square pixels. Some sets, with oddball resolutions, like this one, have rectangular pixels.

    So, this set, if it has square pixels is neither 4:3 nor 16:9. But, if it has non-square pixels, it could be either one.
