151cm tall (4'11), 110lb, size 6 boot.

I havent been snowboarding that long, but I'm pretty good (so I'm told). I don't really do that many jumps or anything but that'll probably change in the coming season.

  1. I'm like around 5 feet tall, and the chart length says 136cm to my chin.

It says a 148 cm would be for someone around 5'4

  2. a snow board should usually come up to your chin if your free boarding, jumps, beginners, and tree boarders should go for something a bit shorter. Racers should go 5 centimetres higher than their head. I think you should take a chance and go for something a bit higher like 150 if you think you can manage. I race on 155 and there good, cause i can handle it. It also depends where you want to board : Canada-shorter, Mt Buller (Australia)- A little longer. It works like that. So give everything a chance and see what you like!

  3. Actually, the proper way to size a board is by weight. Not by height. At 110lbs, a 148cm size will probably be too big. I think you will be much more comfortable with a board around the 143-145 range. Refer to this site for great tips on how to properly size a snowboard. Hope this helps.

The Rome Blue, although a great board, is geared for the advanced rider and might be a little difficult for you to ride.  The Solution is a mens board and will be way too wide and stiff to control. The Gnu B Real is a great, mellow, easy-riding board from a really credible company. Another choice I want to throw out there is the Option Bella in a size 145cm. It is similar to the Blue, but should be just a little more user-friendly. It rips anywhere on the mountain and is made by a great company. Check it out here: http://www.sierrasnowboard.com/2008-Opti... Good luck whatever you choose!!!!

  4. Especially if you're a beginner, I would pick something a little bit shorter. It'll be easrier to handle.  I'm 5'7" and I ride a 152cm. Its a park board but still..

  5. mm, i'd go for for something shorter, i'm 5'6" and riding a 46, though it is handy for me in the park etc. anywhere between your shoulders and nose should be ok however.
