  1. For a M1 tank, that is very good.  For a Toyota Prius, that mileage would suck


  2. No, fair at best.  If it's a large, powerful automobile you're talking about, then those numbers are about average for that group.

  3. Sounds like your looking at a 6 horsepower truck or suv.

    27 mpg, 45 mpg highway is better.

    Opt for a Toyota Corolla or a HOnda....

    My 1980 corvette with a carb and 400 HP is better.

    new corvettes get around 28 or more and have 400+ HP.

  5. Unless you NEED the vehicle that has such terrible gas mileage, the mpg rating in your question are very low and very expensive.  

    In this day, I will not consider owning a vehicle that does not return at least high 20s in the city.  Highway mileage better be mid to high 30s.  Any auto company that has a hope of my money better offer a vehicle that I fit in and has these mileage ratings on the window.  Right now I am looking at a Hyundai Elantra Touring in the fall.  At this point the Touring is not available and no notice to the dealers when they will be released for sale.

  6. NO..That's terrible Gas mileage.  We have a Honda CR-V and we get 30 city and 35 highway.

    You must be looking at an older car or a truck.  They maybe cheap initially but the cost of gas will break you quickly!

  8. No, a 1978 Volkswagen rabbit diesel could get more than 50 mpg. If the engineers have not come up with something better than that in the past 30 years, they must be retarded.

  9. It's about what I get, but I have a Lincoln Towncar.  I would not say that is considered good.  Probably below average in fact.

  11. YES, for a Humvee! Sorry. No, that does not sound so good. I get 24 city, 32-35 Hwy. with an 06' Chev. I don't consider that very good but it's the car I chose so I live with it.
