  1. I would probably say so.

Your Life has to be devoted to it from a very young age. In your case you should of started carting from very young.

It doesn't matter though!! If you are serious then you can go for it now if you are that devoted! Good Luck!

  2. im not sure sorry

  3. Bearing in mind that motor sport is very expensive and that lots of things have to happen before one manages to enter the magical world of F1, my advice to you is to take up karting as a sport.

If you're an exceptional talent things will happen for you.

If you're not or just don't have the money, you'll never regret the time you spent into karts, they're little beasts and the excitement of trying to beat the competition will draw you in.

Just saying it's too early stressing yourself with F1 aspirations, only think of what's next, and next is karting.

  4. Start karting at Buckmore Park, in Kent. Don't worry about what you have to do after karting. If you are good enough you will get all the advice you need.

Just one thing, i hope your parents have plenty of money because it will cost alot.

Without help (sponsorship etc) the cost to get up to the standard just to have a test in a F1 car will be between 2.5 to 3.5 Million pounds. This was worked out how much it would have cost Lewis Hamilton if he hadn't signed a deal with Mclaren all those years ago.

Good Luck. You will need it

  5. well, my brother is an aspiring F1 driver as well but he's 6...

umm...go karting at least your on track to where you should start

15 is kind of pushing it for a start, but i think Nigel Mansel was older than you are..but that was Nigel Mansell

umm...if your starting out in go-karting get a Rotax Birel...depending on your weight the chassies will differ

    best of luck

  6. well nigel mansell made his debut in formula ford when he was 23-24 yr old....after winning few karting championship's.........so if he gotta debut in Formula Ford at the age of 23 than he must have had i think only 5-6 yrs of karting experience...cause no one would spend more than that amt of time just karting...so 15 is not late and ur in Europe ....its an motorsport hub....so it shldnt be difficult fr u....we;ll am 18 and am starting off now or rather getting into mainstream racing now so ..am in india and if i can think of breaking into racing world and tht too f-1 in near future......i think u shld be more confident........

and aftr winning go-karting event(s)...u may participate in formula BMW or similar events....then if ur remarkably good in it u may zoom up into formula renault V6...or similar events...and after that try in GP2 or A1...or if tht seems too costly spend an year in DTM...if u get a drive in it.but in the end of the day...there are two important things-Talent and Luck....and u gotta have both to succeed ....and 1 more thing all the events need a lot of money to participate in....or sponsors backing........

    EDIT:

sorry i couldnt provide u info abt the nearest go-karting circuit to east london leyton....i have only seen london either on tv or images...;-)

  7. 15 is quite old to start something like this as it takes years to really know how to drive on a track properly.  i started go karting when i was 7 and if had carried on with it i would have been able to go further, but due to money issues i had to stop.  if you just join up to your local center, and join in their own league table then you can move onto the racing weekends and so on.

I is a long hard process to do and you really have to stick with it and be committed.  when you think that a lot of the f1 drivers are under 30 that only gives you about 10 years! its not very long i'm afraid. you could just race go karts just for fun.
