A guy a know has it. I am a first time rider, and I have pretty much decided on the Ninja 250. I've taken the MSF course. The bike has 11800 miles on it, and it's got scratches here and there. Nothing major. Am I getting ripped off for $1500?

  1. No, $1500 for this type bike is not ripping anyone off.  If the bike is in good shape, then the price is fair.

    Enjoy, and happy riding.

Thank you for taking the MSF course.

  2. If it's in good condition , like really good condition than yeah it's a good price. Try to get it lower though.. I think it's not a bad price because my friend bough a crappy 250cc SUNL bike and paid $1500. What you are talking about it's a Kawasaki which is a really good make.

  3. No it is $1600 to much.

  4. it sounds right.

  5. Well depends if he did any mods to it.  But you can check kelly blue book and get a close value.  The first web site is retail at $1730 and the second at trade in is $1130

  6. just get 2008 model it will cost you 1500 more but at least you will have a warranty on it and you never no what can go wrong two month or 1 from when you got it. I sold my 2007 ninja for 2000 with a 3 year warranty plan and it only had 5700. PS you might try getting a ZX-6R you will have more fun with it. that what I am riding know.

  7. fairly new ninja 250's in pristine shape go for about 2500. 1500 is not a bad price but make sure you test ride it or have him test ride it in front of you so you can see that it is running well and if the scratches are all that is wrong with it id have to say its not a bad price. as will all purchases go ahead and attempt to talk him down a bit for the scratches. if you want something more solid check out kbb for exact values
