  1. Tough ask really. All about how committed you are though. This will take not only cross country practice, however. I would suggest some explosive training such as short sprints and circuit training as well as some light weights sessions if you're really serious about achieving this goal. Hope this helps and good luck!!

  2. possible, but not at all likely

  3. yea

  4. Well I went from an 80 sec my very first try at the 400 when I was not in shape to a 65 pr towards the end of the season. If you are already in top shape and running 65, maybe you could lower it under 60 possibly. It will take alot of work though

  5. I would say by the time your are a senior, maybe or at least you could get close. In high school the training really steps up and alot of people get better in the freshman year so see where you are before sophomore year and then re-asses.

  6. it will take alot more years than you think

  7. 50 seconds is a world class time, the world record is 43 secs (Men) 47 secs (Women).  You are only a freshman, so you could, but it deffinetely will not be this year.  Cross Country will help, but not as much as you think.  After running you need to be lifting and working with a sprinting coach.  It is a very difficult feat, but if you want to do it, then go for it. Good goal for this year is under a minute.

  8. Meh...You'll have to do a lot of training to complete that. Seriously, you really need to train a lot to do that. Even if you do have cross country practice 5x a week, it'll be harder than that. I'm no cross country runner, but its common sense, like a 100m sprinter, you gotta keep training to get better. And i dont know how long it might take. lol. But it will be possible....eventually, if you keep on training.
