  1. idk

  2. Well, it depends. Have you already learnt gymnastics and are ready to compete? If not, then 16 IS too old, in your case, because you're not ready yet.

  3. You can do gymnastics at any age!  But it's highly unlikely that you would ever make an Olympic team.  Most gymnasts at that level started training at age 5-6 and began competing by 8 or 9.  And the vast majority of gymnasts drop out of the sport by age 16-17.

But that doesn't mean you can't enjoy gymnastics!  There are a lot of good reasons to do it besides high-level competiton.  You'll gain strength, flexibility, courage and coordination, which will help you with any other sport you pursue.  You'll learn a lot of cool skills that most of your friends can't do, which is always fun at parties.  If you work hard and have a fair amount of talent, you could even make a club or high school gymnastics team, which is great experience.  But even if you never compete, just doing gymnastics for fun and exercise makes it a worthwhile pursuit.

  4. i'm 16 too & i love gymnastic so much.but i think its late for you and me to compete.anyway i think we should follow our dreams

  5. I say no. i am 17 and trying to start now.

I say go for it and see where it takes you. Chase that dream, because i regret not taking the chance i had at 5. I didnt understand what it meant. I cry now that i do.

Do the right thing and dont make the mistake. ?You wil be wonderful...start now and 3 years is good for competetion.

  6. of course not!

i'm 13 and only just competing. at home, please dont waste time trying to get tricks like cartwheels, front walkover, back walkovers, limbers or anything like that till you get to the gym. they spot you (hold you so you dont fall) and its really, REALLY easy with them spotting you.

at home just work on your STRENGTH and flexibility. strength is 10x more important than flexibility.

    good luck ^_^'
