Is 160 gigs storage on a laptop good?

Question

For like saving music, pictures, and schoolwork? + of course programs + stuff

Or is that much storage pretty cr@p?

Its pretey good, but you might want to buy an extra external drive for more space when your run out.

Depends on what you are using it for ... if you plan on music, pictures, or video storage ... this will chew up the space quickly ...

But ... no worries ... you can always purchase an external drive for such follies! They have rapidly come down in price and are a cheaper alternative than purchasing "up"

it is very good, because i have 80g on my desktop, and remeber, if you run out of space, you can buy an external hard drive

I think its pretty good for a laptop.  I have all my files stored on an external hard drive.  They're usually not too expensive, and they're usually also cheaper than buying a laptop with more hard drive space.  But I would recommend putting all your files on there first and see what it does for you.  You can always add more storage later.

PS: Look for external hard drives on sale; they can get very cheap.

its good, but id get a 250 so you know u have enough, so u dont have to be bogged down by an external one.

if u go to ur friends n they wanna hook u up with music or whatever bootleg vids, etc.

In your case, which would be light to medium usage, 100GB would be enough, just for music and documents and small programs. If you are an avid user, and tend to save ALOT, and I mean like one program is 5GB+ (Which is me :P) I would get atleast a 250GB. Because I smyself am struggling with 2x300GB HDD and one 160GB external.

Yes, it should be more then enough. Also it is more cost effective to get a 160GB hard drive considering hard drives are alot geting cheaper.

Yeah i think its pretty good,since i have a desktop that has 140GB total but i only use about 40GB having alot of stuff =]

Use an external hard drive for storage. Keep your laptop lean and mean.

YES,160 IS FINE.WHEN YOU START GETTING THE BIGGER DRIVES YOU ALSO START GETTING THE PROBLEMS LIKE BIOS WONT READ THE FULL DRIVE CAPACITY AND JUMPER SETTING HEADACHES.
