Is 16feet component cable bad?

I ordered a pair of component cables and i only need about 2 feet for it to connect. I thought I ordered a 6ft cable turns out it's 16ft.

Would a 16ft component cable do anything in quality? No rihgt?

  1. Video signal will degrade for sure. Can you cancel the order? If it's too late, why not just hook it up and see the picture yourself. Most good quality cable can go quite far. If the video degradation is not noticeable , you're probably okay but you must have enough space to hike the excess cable. ^^

  2. Good coax is rolled out in lengths of 100 feet, signals are shoved into one end and the results are published.  16 ft, while excessive, is not long.

  3. 16 feet sounds excessive but if it is needed, it is needed. I wouldn't doubt if there was the tiniest bit of signal degredation, but I would wonder about the signal getting interference. i know monster cables supposedly are sheilded for this purpose but I think they are egzagerating. (wow that word is kind of hard to spell confidently ha ha)

Oh and coax can go that far because the little mesh of wire around the perimeter is good for sheilding signal interference  ;)

  4. I have 50ft of component running to my projector and have not seen any difference from when I was running a 4ft wire.

    should be good to go.
