  1. well if your only in freestyle 6 then i dont think u will make it to that level, soryy :[

  2. Well, for most people it is. I'm seventeen myself, and I started skating two years ago, and I'm working on the axel, layback, etc. But do you mean beginning to skate at that age, or having already skated but not competed?

Johnny Weir didn't start skating until he was twelve, and he's multiple men's champion in the United States. So you can definitely get very good if you start when you're a teenager, but there's a lot of difference between 12 and 17/18. On the other hand, competing is different from winning, so you might be able to compete but I doubt if a seventeen or eighteen year old who has just begun to compete could actually win anything.

  3. for your age/level,

its not probable that you will skate in senior or junior.

but there are skaters who are 17/18 in junior and senior.

    TONS!

you dont have to be 14-15. infact, michelle kwan and sasha cohen were 23-24 on their last years as seniors.

but if you are asking if you can go to junior or senior by 17/18.

    its physically impossible

  4. well i don't think it's too late for you to compete in junior or senior competitions. i started skating just last week  and that's already late cuz im 13. with you being 18 is probably a big setback in your skating career but also look on the bright side, you already passed puberty so once you learn those difficult double and triple jumps you won't lose them just like all the other 13 or 14 year olds. It takes an average person about 2 to 3 years of skating to learn about single's and double's. but if your willing to sacrifice alot and skate as much as 3 to 5 hours a day then you'll get those jumps in about 1 year and a half so try your best to skate. good luck and hope i helped!!!

  5. Well, If your first trip to junior nationals is 17 Then you won't even  make it there because you are to old. Senior nationals you will make it there but you won't make the top five. And if you are working on the single axel, you have your work cut out for you becuase you have to have at least up to triple lutz to place in the top ten in nationals.
