Is $1800 too much money for a 1997 Sea-Doo GS?

I'm looking to buy my first jet ski. A friend of mine is selling a 1997 Sea-Doo GS for $1800 w/o a trailer. I don't know too much about how much jet skis are worth but that seems pricey especially with no trailer. I want to know if that is reasonable or not.

Meh... It really depends in the condition it's in. I've seen used ones run from about $600 to $6000.  I would get someone knowledgeable to check it out with you first, lest your friend is ripping you off.
