Not at all! :] I'm turning 18 this month, and I've had braces for like 10 weeks. It looks really normal, and I know people my age and your age who have braces. Even people in their 30s are getting them.

You'll have a beautiful smile, and you'll feel fantastic :]

Your never to old to get braces but i would suggest the new invisaline because you cant see any metal.

I'm going to be 23 and I just got mine last year.  It was the best time for it because my family had never had the money.  So, any age is fine, especially if you know you need them and have that desire to feel more comfortable with the appearance of your teeth. :-)

Def. not..I've see people who are in their 30's with braces..just think if you spend a year or two or three in them now..after you get them off you'll have like 60 years to live with straight teeth. Having braces makes a BIG difference. Suffer a little bit now..to have an amazing smile for the rest of your life. You'll be glad you did it!!

Haha, the teacher next door to me is in her sixties and got braces a couple of years ago. She said that she's always hated having crooked teeth and finally decided she deserves to have straight, pretty teeth. She had top braces, then bottoms, and now she's wearing a retainer. I'm almost 30 and at the rate I'm going, I might not be able to afford braces till I'm in my sixties too, but I do want them.
