  1. No no no no no no no no no

90 isn't too old to start playing drums...

  2. There is no age limit for learning...you have good enough time to become a gr8 percussionist...the important factors are your interest, passion ,confidence...well i think you have got all those....and especially girlslike me love guys playing drums....ma best wishes for you... ;)

  3. I know guys that have played 30 years and still suck, and I know guys that have played 5 years and are awesome. If you put in the work you'll get where you need to be in short order. I started in 5th grade but just on snare. I didn't play with my first professional band until 17. You have plenty of time to get good.

  4. Nope, never too old to try something new. I learn a few musical instruments myself, and my brother plays the drums, and he's pretty good at it too.

  5. I don't know CS......   Is 81 years old too old to start playing the saxopone???  You see,  the answer is..... as long as you are still breathing and have the desire,   age will not be the factor in stopping you from playing..... only apprehension can do that.     My daughter has taken on an 81 year old fellow that just wanted to learn to play.   Now he does not play very well and probably will never get that good.....  but in his mind,  he will be fulfilling a dream... and can feel that he has done things he really wanted to do in his life.  If you want to play... then PLAY...   if you are scared to get started,  then it will be a dream unfulfilled for you.

    Get on those drums, guy!!!

  6. Definately Not!  After playing Bass for over 40 years, Keys/Piano for over 45 years, and Guitar for 25 years, I got tired of having to use drum machines or seeing if any of my drummer friends were available for my writing projects.  Im almost 50, went out and bought a set, and have been playing for about 6 months now.  Just goes to show ya... you CAN teach an old dog new tricks!

      Happy Playing!

  7. Of course not, it's never too late.

  8. absolutley not!!! if you really lovet you'll get the hang of it very fast.  you should be looking for drums right now dude instead of asking for opinions.

  9. no! if u wanna be a drummer, go for it! live ur dream, get in a band if ur good! u should try it, it might be one of your talents that u didnt know you had!

  12. It is only too late when you say Hello God (other Deities are available)

  15. Why would 19 be too old to start? If you want to do it professionally then you will have to play a lot to do it in time but if you want to do it as a hobby then you can start when you are 70 if you like.

  16. Not at all, the majority of my drum students are 20+!

  17. Never ever too old. A friend of the family began learning to play drums for the first time when he was 43 and now plays regularly at weekends in a band in a local night club.
