Is 1inch bar spacing in a cockatiel cage to wide for a parrotlet?

A 1 inch bar spacing is too wide for a cockatiel.  The maximum recommended bar spacing for a parrotlet is 1/2 inch.  Any larger and the bird can (1) escape; (2) get its head or body caught between the bars; or (3) experience a high number of falls.  For the safety of your parrotlet, please use a cage with bar spacing no wider than 1/2 inch, mid-bar to mid-bar.

I would have to say that's even too wide for a cockatiel.  Much too wide for a parrotlet.  Cockatiel spacing is reccomended at no more than 3/4 of an inch.
